BETHLEHEM, Pa. - COVID-19 is here to stay as health officials prepare to lift the public health national emergency.
But this is no time to let your guard down.

That was the message from local infectious disease experts during "Community Conversation: Health and the New Normal" that aired Thursday night on PBS39 and on LehighValleyNews.com.
Health and wellness reporter Brittany Sweeney led the conversation, which included several guests who have worked on the front lines of the pandemic since it began.
March 11 will mark the three-year anniversary of the World Health Organization declaring the novel coronavirus outbreak a global pandemic.
Officials plan to lift the nation’s public health emergency declaration on May 11.
Joining the program were Dr. Jeffrey Jahre from St. Luke’s University Health Network and Dr. Timothy Friel of Lehigh Valley Health Network.
Other guests were Vince Hartzell of Hartzell's Pharmacy in Catasauqua; Kelly Keegan, the school nurse coordinator in the Easton Area School District; and therapist and life coach Shonda Moralis.
