An Allentown shooting early Sunday morning injured three and killed one.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — A man was killed and three other people wounded in a shooting outside a Union Boulevard nightclub early Sunday, police said.

It happened about 4 a.m. outside BKK Lounge, 1500 Union Blvd.

Police said a fight between two groups inside the club spilled outside into the parking lot.

Multiple gunshots were fired outside as security tried to separate the groups, according to a statement from police Capt. Stephen Milkovits III.

Authorities identified the dead man as a 32-year-old from Lower Macungie Township.

Lehigh County Coroner Dan Buglio said the victim has been positively identified but he is withholding releasing the man's identity until completion of an autopsy Monday.

Buglio said no additional information would be released Sunday.

Police and paramedics summoned to BKK Lounge found four people with apparent gunshot wounds.

The man who was fatally wounded was pronounced dead in the emergency department at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Buglio said.

The other three victims are expected to survive, police said.

'At the expense of safety and security'

It was Allentown’s first reported homicide of 2025.

The Lehigh County District Attorney’s Homicide Task Force is investigating with police and the coroner’s office, Milkovits said.

Police ask anyone with information to call detectives at 610-437-7721 or the Allentown police desk at 610-437-7753 Ext. 1.

State Rep. Josh Siegel

State Rep. Josh Siegel, who represents the area where the shooting occurred, said he was confident those responsible for the violence would be brought to justice.

“After-hour clubs like BKK Lounge undermine Allentown’s quality of life and our goal of building a safer city," Siegel, D-Lehigh, said.

"I believe in a vibrant and thriving nightlife, but not at the expense of safety and security.

“I stand ready to support the city in any and all efforts to better regulate and reduce the number of problem clubs and work with landlords to lease to businesses that improve neighborhoods."
