ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Authorities on Sunday were searching for a gunman who shot and killed a 33-year-old man attending a child’s 1-year-old birthday party.
The shooting occurred just before 7:50 p.m. Saturday outside a home at South Dauphin and East Walnut streets, said Lehigh County District Attorney Gavin P. Holihan.

Holihan identified the victim as Miguel S. Dalmasi, 33, of Alburtis.
Dalmasi, who was celebrating with family, was shot outside the house by someone in an uninvited group that tried to enter the party but was denied, according to Holihan.
He did not elaborate on the relationship between the victim and the child, identifying Dalmasi as a relative.
No arrests have been made.
Holihan said the victim was shot more than once and died at the scene. The shooter and others with the gunman fled, he said. It was Allentown's first homicide of 2024.
“Allentown EMS and police arrived on scene quickly, but Mr. Dalmasi succumbed to his injuries,” Holihan said in a news release.
Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio ruled the death a homicide. An autopsy was set for Tuesday.
Holihan said there were no reports of other injuries.
Besides the district attorney’s office, the case is being investigated by the Allentown Police Department, the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office and the Lehigh County Homicide Task Force.
