Follows Saturday fatal shooting
Tuesday’s incident came just days after a gunman shot and killed a 33-year-old man attending a child’s 1-year-old birthday party.
That shooting occurred just before 7:50 p.m. Saturday outside a home at South Dauphin and East Walnut Streets, Holihan’s office said.
Holihan and the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Miguel S. Dalmasi, 33, of Alburtis. He died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio.
Dalmasi, who was celebrating with family, was shot outside the house by someone in an uninvited group that tried to enter the party but was denied, Holihan said.
It was the city’s first homicide of 2024.
