BETHLEHEM, Pa. — If there's something the Lehigh Valley has no shortage of this month -- it would be Halloween celebrations.
Here is a list of family-friendly parades, truck-or-treats and other events coming up in the lead-up to Halloween so you can find what works best for your family, location and schedule.
Events may require registration.
Scare seekers should look toward various haunted house events throughout the valley and at Dorney Park.

Boo at the Zoo Trick or Treating
10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 and 30
On weekends leading to Halloween, attendees can wear costumes at Lehigh Valley Zoo to trick or treat at various candy locations throughout the zoo. On the final weekend there will be music from a DJ. Bags will not be provided; guests are expected to bring their own.

Annual Nazareth Halloween Parade
1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15
Rain or shine. The parade is sponsored by Vigilance Hose Company No. 1 fire department and starts at Belvidere and Liberty streets and ends at the high school, where participants will be up for prizes and be able to get hot dogs and soda.

Emmaus Halloween Parade
Saturday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. -- a new time for this year
The more-than-100-year tradition in the borough is set this weekend. Drop off and pick up will be at 210 Williams St., with formation on Ridge Street and Keystone Avenue.
Rain date: 6:30 p.m. Oct. 16.

Coopersburg Halloween Parade
3 p.m.-4:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16
The event will feature floats, candy, music, classic cars, fire trucks and, of course, costumes. Kicks off at 5 N. Main St.

Catasauqua and North Catasauqua Halloween Parade
7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19
Starting at 14th and Race streets, the parade will bring costumed marchers to North Catasauqua Playground. Prizes will be awarded to the best youth group, best Halloween theme, most unique, best walking group, and judge’s choice.

Bangor Halloween Parade
7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20 at
Join those in the community at and through Bangor Memorial Park (90 Eisenhart Blvd.) for a parade held by the borough.

South Whitehall Township Spooktacular
5-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21
Held by South Whitehall Township Parks and Recreation and Parkland Community Library, the second annual Spooktacular will be at Covered Bridge Park (2465 Wehr Mill Road, Allentown). Starting with a trunk-or-treat at 5 p.m., the event then will have a spooky story time starting at 6:15 p.m. before a screening of "The Addams Family 2" movie at 6:30 p.m.

Little Pumpkin Parade and Party (Hello Baby & Kids)
11 a.m. to noon Friday, Oct. 21
The Allentown children’s boutique Hello Baby & Kids (6636 Hamilton Blvd.) will hold a small children- and baby-focused event with crafts, snacks and a mini-costume parade.

Trick or Treat at the (Southside Bethlehem) Library
1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22
Southside Bethlehem Public Library (400 Webster St.) will offering an afternoon of games and listening to stories for children and their accompanying adults. Adults are expected to stay with the children, as drop-offs will not be permitted.

Macungie Memorial Park First Annual Halloween Festival & Parade
5 p.m. Saturday Oct. 22, 7 p.m. for parade
With the Lions club no longer able to hold the parade, the task has fallen to Macungie Memorial Park. For the first time, the parade will be supplemented with a festival at the park including friendly activities and food trucks.

Upper Saucon Township Trunk or Treat
1-3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23
Taking place at Hopewell Park (4695 W. Hopewell Road, Center Valley), the township and Southern Lehigh Chamber of Commerce will be hold the free community event with businesses and local organizations set up with decorated cars to make for a safe trick-or-treating experience from car trunk to car trunk instead of street to street. There also also be food from Mon & Mel’s Sweet Treats and Traveling Hot Dogs LLC.
Rain date: Sunday, Oct. 30.

Hellertown Halloween Parade
2 p.m. (line-up begins at 12:30 pm) Sunday, Oct. 23
Hellertown’s event will start off at 685 Main St. An after-parade party at Dimmick Park with live music by the band GirlCrue and food will be from 4-7 p.m.

Bethlehem Trunk-Or-Treat
6:30 pm Tuesday, Oct. 25
The city will put on its first Trunk-or-Treat event, featuring fire, police and EMS vehicles to see up close, as well. Treats, stickers and other store-bought goodies will be given out. It will take place at Payrow Plaza between Bethlehem City Hall and the library.

Halloween Dance Party at The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley
6-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27
Weather permitting, this event at the Promenade Shops (2845 Center Valley Parkway, Center Valley) will put a different spin on Halloween celebrations. The free, family-friendly party will feature interactive games and dancing with a DJ. There also will be a magic show.

Whitehall Township Public Library Hallow-Read
1-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29
Games, food and crafts at Whitehall Township Public Library for its youth patrons.
The library also will hold a Lehigh Valley Haunts storytelling event on Oct. 27.

Allentown Hallo-weekend & Walking Parade
11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29
The city's trick-or-treat night will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28
The parade won't feature cars and floats this year, but will focus on being pedestrian and kid friendly. Kids can safely trick or treat from 9th & Hamilton streets to the Arts Park from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and get a trick-or-treat passport, Halloween-themed bag and candy while taking part in free activities such as face painting, games, smores and art. From 1 to 6 p.m., there will be a Dia de los Muertos / Day of the Dead family-friendly festival in Arts Park.
There also will be food and other vendors.
At dusk, about 6:30 p.m., there will be a showing of the Disney-Pixar film "Coco."

Alburtis Halloween Parade
7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29
The small borough’s parade is set to begin at Alburtis Elementary School before concluding at Alburtis Area Community Center. The parade also will feature food trucks parked along S. Main Street by the Alburtis Fire Department.
Rain date: Oct. 30.

Bethlehem Halloween Parade
2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30
In its 101st year, the parade will begin on West Broad Street and 9th Avenue, continue east on Broad and south on Main street, and finish at Main and Spring streets.

Phillipsburg Easton Halloween Parade
3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30
The 40th annual iteration of the event will start on McKeen Street in Phillipsburg and march to its finish at Centre Square in Easton. There will be $100 prizes will be awarded to the best in several categories in the parade.

Trunk-Or-Treat at The Udder Bar in Allentown
6:30-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30
The ice cream parlor The Udder Bar in Allentown’s West End will hold a safe alternative to door-to-door trick-or-treating with candy instead coming from trunks in the parking lot. There also will be free Halloween henna tattoos, candy, music, and food by Baker’s Food Bar. Attendees are expected to come in costume.
