ALLENTOWN, Pa. — A hard rock band that’s sold more than 5 million albums says it is coming to the Lehigh Valley with a punk band that's sold 3 million albums of its own.
Papa Roach, best known for its hits “Last Resort” and “Lifeline,” and whose 2000 sophomore album “Infest” went triple platinum, says on its website that it will perform at Allentown's PPL Center at 7 p.m. Sept. 19.
Chicago punk rockers Rise Against, who have gotten the most attention over the years for its more hardcore music with the hits “Prayer of the Refugee,” “Re-Education (Through Labor)” and “Savior,” will join it, Papa Roach said.
Opening the show will be Underoath, the Grammy Award-nominated metalcore band that has had gold-selling, chart-topping rock and Christian chart albums.
Tickets for the shows, the prices of which have not been announced, go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 14 at RiseoftheRoach.com and Ticketmaster.com.Papa Roach's website
PPL Center has not announced the show, and its website does not list it, but the date is open, and the show is listed on Ticketmaster.com.
Rise Against's and Underoath's websites also list the PPL Center show.

25th anniversary of 'Infest'
The show will be part of a tour to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Papa Roach’s 2000 album "Infest," which sold triple-platinum.

After “Infest” put Papa Roach on the charts, 2002’s “Lovehatetragedy” went gold and peaked at No.2 with the Top 5 hit “She Loves Me Not.” Then 2004’s “Getting Away with Murder” went platinum and had the old hit “Scars.”
Overall, the group has released 11 studio albums, a live album and two compilation. Its latest album was 2022's "Ego Trip."
The group has had 33 songs that went Top 20 on various charts. Its latest hit was last year's "Leave a Light On (Talk Away the Dark)" with Carrie Underwood, which hit No. 1 on the Mainstream Rock chart.
Papa Roach played Allentown Fair in 2007, and played Sands Bethlehem Event Center, now Wind Creek Event Center, with Seether in 2015.
Rise Against and Underoath
Rise Against has released nine studio albums and two compilations discs, three of which went gold or platinum. Its 2011 album "Endgame" hit No. 2 on the overall Albums chart.
Its latest release is 2022's "Nowhere Generation II."
It has had four songs that went gold or platinum, including 2005's "Swing Life Away" and 2008's "Re-Education (Through Labor)," both of which sold platinum, and 2006's "Prayer of the Refugee" and 2009's "Savior," both of which sold platinum.
Underoath's 2006 album “Define the Great Line” topped the Rock Albums chart and went gold.
Underoath released its debut album in 1999, but had its breakthrough with 2004’s “They’re Only Chasing Safety,” which went gold and hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart.
“Define the Great Line” in 2006 debuted at No. 2 on Billboard’s overall Albums chart and also went gold. It also went to No. 1 on both the Rock and Christian charts.
Members of Underoath have identified as Christians, and its albums have been popular with the Christian market. Its two subsequent albums, 2008’s “Lost in the Sound of Separation” and 2010’s “Ø (Disambiguation),” also went to No. 1 on the Christian albums chart.
“Lost in the Sound of Separation” also broke the Top 10 on Billboard’s overall Albums chart.
Its latest release was last year's "Voyeurist," which peaked at No. 4 on the Christian albums chart.
