Allentown Fair completes grandstand lineup with crashing success

Allentown Fair has completed its grandstand entertainment lineup with the traditional Labor Day demolition derby.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – A traditional night of crashing autos has completed the lineup for this year’s Allentown Fair.

J&J Demolition Derby, a Labor Day mainstay at Allentown Fairgrounds, will return to the fair for its closing-night grandstand entertainment offering.

  • Tickets, at $20 and $15 for ages 12 and younger, go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, May 19 at the fair box office and Ticketmaster.com
  • The fair will run from Aug. 30 to Sept. 4

The derby will feature three heats, with full-size cars, the ‘80s or newer and compact cars will return to the Fair on Sept. 4.

Tickets, at $20 and $15 for ages 12 and younger go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, May 19, the fair box office on the Allentown Fairgrounds and online on Ticketmaster. Tickets include admission to the fair.

Also on sale Friday are tickets for the recently announced show by rapper Yung Gravy with special guest bbno$ on Sept. 2.

Other grandstand shows at the fair will be Styx and REO Speedwagon on Aug. 30, Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line with special guest Matt Stell on Aug. 31 and Nelly with special guest Chingy on Sept. 1. Tickets remain available for all those shows.

The fair will run from Aug. 30 to Sept. 4.
