ALLENTOWN, Pa. — With all due respect to Paris, this holiday season, Allentown will again become the City of Lights.
The 28th annual Lights in the Parkway, an Allentown holiday tradition, will be held on the Lehigh Parkway from Friday, Nov. 29, through Monday, Jan. 6.
Each day — except for Christmas Day and New Year’s Day — visitors can drive through more than a mile of enchanting holiday displays featuring 175,000 to 200,000 LED lights.
Proceeds from Lights in the Parkway benefit several Allentown-based organizations, furthering the missions of local non-profits and community groups.
From dazzling tree-lined paths to holiday tunnels and seasonal scenes, Lights in the Parkway captures the spirit of the season for the whole family to enjoy.
Tickets are available exclusively online atthe city's website. Online processing fees apply. No on-site ticket sales will be available.
• General Admission: $16 per vehicle (up to 8 passengers)
• Commercial vans, minibuses or limousines of less than 14 feet: $26
Getting there, and special days
Visitors should enter the parkway from Martin Luther King Drive onto Lehigh Parkway East and follow wayfinding signs throughout the city.

Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital will offer a special giveaway for youth visitors, while supplies last.
The popular “Move It Mondays” series returns with more opportunities to experience the lights up close.
On select Mondays — Dec. 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30, and Jan. 6 — the parkway will be closed to vehicles, allowing visitors to walk, bike or stroll through the displays.
Those nights will feature partnerships with local groups to celebrate diverse cultural traditions.
This season, Allentown will partner with WFMZ-TV, Da Vinci Science Center and Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital as presenting sponsors.
