QUAKERTOWN, Pa. — Another yacht is ready to set sail in the Lehigh Valley area music scene.
Also, a Disney tribute band is coming hold a singalong session to all the favorite Disney classics.
The shows are the second and third announced for the concert series at Univest Performance Center at 301 W. Mill St., Quakertown.Univest Performance Center
Yächtley Crëw, a Los Angeles band that plays the 1970s and '80s soft rock sounds of the Yacht Rock trend, will perform at 6 p.m. July 16 at Univest Performance Center's Sound of Summer concert series.
Tickets, at $30 for lawn seating and $35-$70 for reserved seating, are available at the Univest Performance Center website.
And The Little Mermen, which calls itself the ultimate Disney tribute band, will perform at Univest Performance Center at 6 p.m. June 28.
Tickets, which will be all for lawn/general admission, are $25 and will be available at 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Univest Performance Center website.
The shows are the second and third announced for the concert series at the venue at 301 W. Mill St., Quakertown.
Previously announced was Arrival From Sweden: The Music of ABBA, which will perform July 18. Tickets for that show also remain available at the performance center website.
Soft rock and movie songs
Yächtley Crëw, which is known for wearing nautical attire on stage, formed in 2017 and in 2022, signed a record deal with Jimmy Buffet-owned Mailboat Records.
The group released its debut album, "Seas the Day," in 2023. in 2024, it released a Christmas mini-album, "Seas and Greetings," and says its working on a new disc to come out this year.
The group has played residencies at the Las Vegas Palms casino for three years running, and last November appeared in the HBO yacht rock documentary "Yacht Rock: A Dockumentary."

The Little Mermen, based in New York, are known for their high-energy performances, dazzling costumes and a setlist that spans a century of Disney's iconic soundtracks.
They perform songs from more than 45 Disney movies.
They include classics such as "Mary Poppins," "Jungle Book," through "The Little Mermaid," "Beauty and the Beast," "Aladdin" and "The Lion King," to modern hits such as "Frozen," "Moana" and "Encanto."
But The Little Mermen infuse them with rock and pop influences.
Featuring an ensemble of respected players who have played major festivals and shared the stage with talent such as Stevie Nicks, Joan Jett and Green Day.
Soft rock popular again
Yacht Rock has become a phenomenon to once again share the soft rock for decades past.
On Thursday, March 27, a yacht rock band, Yacht Rock Revue, will perform at Wind Creek Event Center in Bethlehem.
Tickets for that show, at $39.50 for general admission standing ($29.50 each when buying four or more tickets) and $69.50 for seated wings, remain on sale at the Wind Creek website and box office at 77 Wind Creek Blvd., Bethlehem.
Yacht Lobsters, which plays retro-rock from 1970s and '80 acts such as Steely Dan, the Doobie Brothers, Hall & Oates and Toto, performed at Musikfest Cafe at SteelStacks in Bethlehem in January.
And a cappella group Straight No Chaser performed a concert of its new "Yacht on the Rocks" album of yacht rock hits at Miller Symphony Hall in Allentown in 2023.
