BETHLEHEM, Pa. — This weekend, celebrate Los Reyes Magos.

ArtsQuest's Día de los Reyes (Three Kings Day) celebration takes place at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, at Musikfest Café at ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks.

The free family event coincides with Epiphany Day on Jan. 6, a Christian feast day celebrated at the end of the Christmas season.

The event, now in its 13th year, will feature a story hour for children, live music and a visit from Einstein the snow camel.

About Día de Los Reyes

In Spain and in Central, Latin and South American countries, Día de los Reyes commemorates the journey of the three wise men (Gaspar, Melchior, y Baltazar) to present the baby Jesus with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.

As it is customary for loved ones and family members to give gifts to one another, there will be a free toy giveaway (for those younger than 12).

This year's event is sponsored by Allentown's Toys for Tots division in partnership with PPL Corp., La Mega, along with supporting sponsor B. Braun Medical Inc.

Children also will hear the story of the Los Reyes Magos (three Magi) read in English and Spanish, along with the opportunity to partake in arts and crafts and hear live parrandas (Christmas carols in Spanish) on the second floor of the ArtsQuest building.

Additionally, there will be a meet-and-greet with Reyes Magos and Einstein the snow camel, from Peaceable Kingdom Petting Zoo in Perkasie, Bucks County.

Parishioners from Holy Infancy Church will be on-site serving traditional Latin/Puerto Rican dishes (arroz con gradules, empandadas, pernil).

For more information on the Los Reyes event, visit the SteelStacks website.
