Edgy comedian Tom Segura will perform at Allentown's PPL Center on Sept. 26. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, April 4.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — One of the biggest touring comedians, best known for his Netflix specials, is coming to Allentown's PPL Center, it was announced Monday.

Tom Segura, who has had five Netflix specials and co-hosts two popular podcasts, will perform his stand-up comedy tour "Tom Segura: Come Together" on Sept. 26 at the arena.

Tickets, the prices of which were not immediately released, go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at the PPL Center website.

The comedian from Ohio uses an edginess in his delivery — appropriate, since he's already has been through the worst things in his life, including a well-publicized coma from a drug overdose at age 18.

He’s earned acclaim for his storytelling style.

Segura will star in a new dark comedy series, "Bad Thoughts," premiering May 13 on Netflix. Segura produced the series.

Segura’s specials all streamed on Netflix. The most recent, "Sledgehammer" in 2023 and debuted at No. 1 on the streaming service.

They also include "Ball Hog" in 2020, “Disgraceful” from 2018, “Mostly Stories” from 2016 and “Completely Normal” from 2014.

His television credits also include “Conan,” “Not Safe with Nikki Glaser,” “The Late Late Show” and “Comedy Central Presents Tom Segura.”

Movies, albums and books

Segura's podcast “Your Mom’s House,” with his wife, comedian Christina Pazsitzky, was a finalist for Best Comedy Podcast at the Stitcher Awards.

He also is co-host of the podcast "Two Bears One Cave" with fellow comedian Bert Kreischer.

He also appears regularly on radio shows such as “Bennington Show” and comedy podcasts such as “The Joe Rogan Experience” and “WTF with Marc Marcon.”

He has appeared in a half-dozen movies, including “Instant Family” with Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne, and 2020's "The Opening Act."

His comedy album “Mostly Stories” had consecutive weeks atop the iTunes and Billboard comedy charts. His first two albums, “Thrilled” and “White Girls with Cornrows,” also debuted at No. 1.

Segura's also an author. His book "I'd Like to Play Alone, Please," released in 2022, made the New York Times Bestselling list. It recently was released in paperback.

Segura last played the Lehigh Valley at Wind Creek Event Center, then called Sands Bethlehem Event Center, in 2017.
