ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Brandon Marsh pumped up the crowd at Coca-Cola Park during a rehab assignment in August.
Now, he’s set to fire up local baseball fans in the winter — just weeks away from the start of spring training.
For the second straight year, Marsh is scheduled to attend the Phillies Winter Caravan — this time at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 18 in the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks in Bethlehem.
He’ll be joined by Phillies Manager Rob Thomson and reliever Orion Kerkering.
Marsh has been a fan favorite since he was acquired by the Phillies in a trade with Los Angeles Angels on Aug. 2, 2022. He’s appeared in Allentown on Major League rehab assignments back-to-back years, going 3-for-6 with two RBI and two stolen bases.
On Aug. 17, he ignited the crowd when he flared a double down the leftfield line, scoring two runners to give the IronPigs a 2-1 lead they never relinquished.
This past year with the Phillies, he appeared in 133 games, hitting .277 with 12 homers, 60 RBI and 10 stolen bases.
Kerkering still is a fresh face to IronPigs fans, having appeared in just one game with Lehigh Valley on Sept. 20.
He ascended from Single-A Clearwater to the majors in just one season, making his pro debut with the Phillies on Sept. 24.
Tickets to the Phillies Winter Caravan are available for $100, or a pair of tickets can be purchased for $180. All proceeds benefit IronPigs Charities.
