BETHLEHEM, Pa. — A comedian and former "Saturday Night Live" cast member — Uh, maybe the best cast member ever, yeah, that's the ticket! — will perform at Wind Creek Event Center.
Also announced was a show by a roots rock band that in the 1990s had a four-times-platinum album and four Top 10 hits.
And a concert by an 11-time Grammy Award-winning reggae singer who is the son of the genre’s greatest name, and who will appear with another reggae artist who had 13 Grammy nominations.
Jon Lovitz, a "Saturday Night Live" cast member from 1985 to 1990 best known for his character Tommy Flanagan, The Pathological Liar, will perform at 8 p.m. May 23.
The Wallflowers, the hit ’90s band fronted by Bob Dylan’s son Jakob that had the No. 1 hit “One Headlight," will perform at 8 p.m. July 11.
And Ziggy Marley, who is the eldest son of reggae great Bob Marley and has been nominated for 14 Grammy Awards for his own music, will perform with two-time Grammy winner Burning Spear at 8 p.m. Sept. 27.
Tickets are $35 to $69.50 for Lovitz; $35-$75 for The Wallflowers; and $61.50 for general admission standing and $101.50 for seated wings for Marley and Spear. Lovitz was nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards on "Saturday Night Live."
After leaving the show, he appeared on TV shows including "The Simpsons," "Seinfeld" and "Friends," and from 2012-15 starred in the sitcom "Mr. Box Office."
He also appeared in the films "A League of Their Own,"
"Three Amigos," "The Producers," "Hotel Transylvania" and "Hotel Transylvania 2."
The Wallflowers’ 1996 album “Bringing Down the Horse” won two Grammy Awards and had the singles “One Headlight,” “6th Avenue Heartache,” “The Difference” and “Three Marlenas.”
The Wallflowers also had a gold album with 2000’s “(Breach),” which had the Top 30 song “Sleepwalker,” and had a Top 5 song with a cover of David Bowie’s “Heroes” for the 1998 movie “Godzilla.”
The Wallflowers in 2021 released “Exit Wounds," its first new disc in nine years, and had a minor hit with the song "Roots and Wings."
The Wallflowers played Wind Creek in 2020, and in 2012, when it was Sands Bethlehem Event Center, and headlined Bethlehem’s Musikfest festival in 2009.
Ziggy Marley and Burning Spear
Ziggy Marley won eight Grammy Awards of his own and three with his group The Melody Makers.
As a solo artist, he has released eight studio albums, the most recent being 2020's “More Family Time." His previous five albums all topped the Reggae chart.
He also released 10 studio albums, a live disc and four compilation albums with The Melody Makers, his Jamaican reggae family group. With that group, he had a Top 40 hit, “Tomorrow People” in 1988, and a No. 1 Dance/Electronic hit, “Tumblin’ Down,” that same year.
In all, he has been nominated for 15 Grammy Awards and most recently won for Best Reggae Album in 2016.
Burning Spear released his debut album in 1973 and has released 28 more studio discs, six live albums and 23 compilation discs.
He has won two Grammys, both for Best Reggae Album — "Calling Rastafari" in 2000 and "Jah Is Real" in 2009.
His most recent disc was 2023's "No Destroyer," which also was nominated for a Grammy.
