ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Free music and fun food isn’t just for summer. Fall in the Fairgrounds is back!
The West End free concert series features local and regional musicians performing on the Farmerama Stage located at the Allentown Fairgrounds, 302 N. 17th St. and runs 5 to 7 p.m. Thursdays from Sept. 12-Oct. 10.
“Bring your chairs, blankets, your family and friends to soak in the fall vibes and dance-worthy tunes. This is a family-friendly event, offering free fun for all ages!” the Allentown Chamber of Commerce and sponsor St. Luke’s University Health Network said in a news release Wednesday.
“This beloved local event promises a season of lively music and community spirit.” the release said.
The diverse lineup of talent includes:
- Sept. 12: Pentley Holmes
- Sept. 19: Stefanie Johnson Trio
- Sept. 26: The Time Why’s
- Oct. 3: The Audio Files
- Oct. 10: Supersonic Godfathers
This year the presenters have partnered with nearby Allentown Farmers Market, encouraging concertgoers to check out the market for their picnic food, including vendor The Brass Rail, which operated at Lehigh Street for 90 years and will open Thursday, Sept. 12, for the first time in its new location at 1825 W. Chew St.
Each night of the concert series, a new food truck will also be featured in addition to the open market. Allentown Farmers Market is open Thursdays 9 a.m.-7 p.m., Fridays 8 a.m.-7 p.m. and Saturdays 8 a.m.-6 p.m.
