The Gin Mill and Grille in Northampton is hosting its very first country music event, with southern rock and country hits, Thursday, April 10 and features local and national rising singer-songwriters and musicians.

NORTHAMPTON, Pa. — A founding member of platinum-selling alternative rock band Saving Abel will play Gin Mill and Grille in Northampton, but he won't play rock music.

Scott Bartlett, who was lead guitarist and backing vocalist for Saving Abel for 20 years, will give the Gin Mill its first-ever live country music show when he pairs with country singer Brandon Jordan for a show at 6:30 p.m. April 10.

Supporting the duo will be local country talents Lilly Moss and Dustin Flyte. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Tickets for the ages-21-and-older show, at $20, are available from Eventbrite. Tickets will be $25 at the door.

“We’re thrilled to host such a dynamic lineup at The Gin Mill."

The venue, at 1750 Main St., Northampton, is known for Godsmack- and Iron Maiden-type tribute bands and alt rock.

The Jordan-Bartlett duo recently released their first single together, “Let the Gravel Fly (Rock Mix),” which also features Jesse Lawson from Sleeping with Sirens on guitar, via Cranked Up Records, with distribution from Virgin Music.

“We’re thrilled to host such a dynamic lineup at The Gin Mill,” Gin Mill and Grille co-owner George Yaniger, said in a release.

“Brandon Jordan, Scott Bartlett, Lilly Moss and Dustin Flyte are all incredibly talented artists, and we’re excited to provide a stage for both our local and rising stars.

“This is going to be a night filled with amazing music, and we can’t wait to share it with our guests.”

Saving Abel is best known for its 2008 debut platinum hit “Addicted,” which hit the Top 20 from its gold, Top 10 alternative debut album. The follow-up single “18 Days” hit the Top 10 on the Alternative chart.

The group’s sophomore disc, “Miss America,” went all the way to No. 1 in the Rock albums chart in 2010 with the Top 15 Mainstream Rock singles “Stupid Girl (Only in Hollywood)” and the title track, and the No. 1 Mainstream Rock hit “The Sex is Good.”

The band’s third album, 2012’s “Bringing Down the Giant,” didn’t sell as well, and its title track single was the last charting hit the band had.

Bartlett was the band's only continuous member from 2004-25, but in January announced he would be stepping away from the band to work on a new project with country rock singer Jordan.

Bartlett said he knew Jordan had something special the first time he heard him sing when he opened for Bartlett at a club in Alabama.

Besides his career in country music, Jordan, 27, also is enlisted full-time in the Army National Guard, a cover model for a romantic novel volume and has performed more than 500 shows across the southeast region.

Lilly Moss has been making waves in the country music world with her debut album, "Meet Me on Broadway," which has more than a half-million streams.

It’s “a testament to her growing influence,” her publicist said.

Also making his way around the local country music scene is 20-year-old Dustin Flyte, whose deep, resonating voice has been described as both powerful and reminiscent of Johnny Cash.
