CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – A little more than a year after making its North American tour debut, Cirque de Paris is coming to the Lehigh Valley.
The show highlighting the aerial arts will play under the big top at Promenade Saucon Valley from April 17-27, a release said Tuesday.
“Back by popular demand, this one-ring family spectacle full of elegance, humor, and thrills makes its return to the U.S. and Canada in 2025,” the release said, touting a “never before seen in America” ensemble of Europe’s best circus artists.
The 90-minute show includes BMX trick riders, illusionists, high flying aerialists, acrobats, comedic clowns and more.
Seventh generation
Cirque de Paris is led by Anouchka Bouglione, “the seventh generation of France’s esteemed circus family,” according to the website.
Bouglione served as an artist, artistic manager and producer in Cirque under her father before starting her own show.
“Taking after her father, acclaimed animal trainer and circus owner Alexandre Bouglione, Jr., and inspired by her mother, trapeze artist Linda Bugler, Anouchka decided to continue the family legacy,” the website says.
Anouchka Buglione ultimately had visions of introducing the European circus style, sprinkled with the Bouglione’s signature French touch, to North America.
Cirque de Paris is said to be “the culmination of her dedication and the unwavering support from her father, husband, family, friends and the wonderful people she’s met along the way.”
