ALLENTOWN, Pa. — The public can get a look at Allentown's newest entertainment venue before it opens — but even for a first look, you'll have to buy a ticket.
Archer Music Hall, the new music venue at 939 Hamilton St. in downtown Allentown, will hold a Community Preview Night at 7 p.m. March 6, the venue posted on its website.
That will be two days before the venue opens March 8 with its first scheduled concert by Cavalera, a gold-record-selling metal band from Brazil.
Tickets, at $10 for general admission standing, are on sale now on the website.

The good news is that "100% of the proceeds of the face value of tickets sold for this event will be donated to the Allentown School District Foundation," the Archer says on its Facebook page.
"Get a first look at Archer Music Hall, Allentown's new home for live entertainment at an exclusive community preview event," the Facebook posting says.
"Join us and experience the venue's unique ambiance, food and beverage offerings and connect with community as we celebrate the opening of Allentown's newest cultural landmark."
Tickets are only available for the venue's general admission standing first floor. No tickets are available for balcony space or seats.
More than 30 shows announced
Neither the venue's website, nor the Facebook page give additional details of the Community Preview Night.
The 31,000-square-foot venue, which developers City Center Group have called a state-of-the-art music hall “will attract a diverse slate of touring artists to the Lehigh Valley.”
Live Nation, the country's largest entertainment promoter, will operate the venue.
The venue already has announced 31 the number of shows booked for Archer Music Hall, the latest of whom was Bailey Spinn,who has nearly 16 million followers on TikTok and nearly 5 million subscribers to her YouTube channel.
The Archer will have a main performance space that officials have said will have a 1,600-capacity main room and a 500-capacity venue called Arrow inside Archer Music Hall.
The Archer developers City Center Group has said it plans to present three or four shows by national touring acts each week.
Officials have said Archer could sell more than 240,000 tickets a year, which would make it one of the busiest clubs of its size in the United States.
Live Nation in January gave media a preview tour of the venue.
