BETHLEHEM, Pa. — A fast-rising pop-country singer-songwriter whose recent debut album hit the charts and who has toured with Luke Bryan and Tyler Hubbard is coming to Musikfest Cafe in Bethlehem, it was announced.

Also, a tribute act that recreates the music of one of the greatest rock ‘n’ roll bands of all time will return to Musikfest Cafe to play a show of songs by that band’s famed late guitarist, it has been announced.

Alana Springsteen, who despite her last name is not related to superstar Bruce Springsteen, will perform at 8 p.m. June 19. Tickets will be $25-$50.

Grateful Dead tribute act Splintered Sunlight will perform a show of songs by late Grateful Dead guitarist Jerry Garcia’s Jerry Garcia Band at 7:30 p.m. June 15. Tickets will be $20-$30.

Tickets for both shows will go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. Friday, May 10, at ArtsQuest Center, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem, or at www.SteelStacks.org.

Debut album hits chart

Springsteen, 23, is a Virginia Beach, Va., native, who has more than 100 career song streams and almost a half-million TikTok followers.

Her major-label debut album, “Twenty Something,” released in August, features collaborations with Chris Stapleton and Mitchell Tenpenny.

It Hit No. 17 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart.

The release follows a trio of EPs: her self-titled project in 2019 and the two-part “History of Breaking Up” in 2021 and 2022.

She has toured with Luke Bryan and had a featured spot on the Country Music Association Fest stadium lineup. In January 2023, Billboard magazine chose Springsteen its Rookie of the Month.

A frequent area visitor

The Jerry Garcia Band, led by its namesake, was arguably Garcia’s most important of his various side projects from its 1975 founding until his death in 1995. Over the years, it included 25 members, including hit singer Maria Muldaur.

It released just two albums during his lifetime — 1978’s “Cats Under The Stars” and 1991’s live self-titled disc. But since his death, more than 30 compilation and live albums have been released, most recently this year’s “Garcia Live: Vol. 21.”

Splintered Sunlight has played Musikfest Cafe several times, including a four-night residency in 2016. It also headlined the first Concerts at The Grange festival at Grange Park in Upper Macungie Township a year ago.
