Caputo, known for her signature blonde coif and engaging persona, has been a practicing medium since the 90s and starred in her own TLC show, “Long Island Medium.” She currently hosts a popular podcast, “Hey, Spirit!” which purports to connect guests with their loved ones who have passed.
The dearly departed
Though not everyone will get a reading during the live show, she promises to use her tools to help all in the crowd move on after the death of a family member by channeling the thoughts of the departed.
The “spirit” that will join Caputo onstage communicates with her through feeling, which she opens up about before beginning the two-hour show that will include several readings, she said.
“I come out and talk about what [the crowd] can expect. Then once I start telling them how I connect with spirit, the spirit [or spirits] will start communicating with me,” Caputo said.
“Every show that I do is different, whether [the audience] gets a read or not. What we’re experiencing in the room is amazing and spiritual. To watch the healing… I can see it on the crowd's faces."Celebrity medium Theresa Caputo
“A soul will show me like a shadow, and then I will feel a bond that they shared with that person. It might be a father figure, like someone’s dad who has passed.
“Or it could be a wife or a maternal figure. Then spirit will make me feel what they felt as they left the physical world. They will show me a sign of the shame or guilt that the person is holding onto to prevent them from healing.”
For those who are skeptical of psychics and mediums, Caputo said she feels they might change their minds after attending the event.
“Every show that I do is different, whether [the audience] gets a read or not. What we’re experiencing in the room is amazing and spiritual. To watch the healing… I can see it on the crowd's faces. I don’t want to exaggerate, but it’s a magical moment to watch someone sobbing and smiling, maybe after someone else has felt the spirit of a loved one. It’s just something really incredible that everyone in the room feels.”
