Unangst Tree Farms' Fall activities, including trips to its 22-acre pumpkin patch, begin Sept. 28, according to its website.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Fall is almost at our doorsteps.

At least, it feels like it is. Seasonal coffee has already made an early return, seemingly pushing the fall festivities up earlier than the autumn equinox.

Curious when local corn mazes and pumpkin patches will be ready for the masses? We've got you covered.

Sept. 5-7

In Emmaus, St. Ann's Church, 415 S. Sixth St., will hold a Fall Fest from 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday and 5 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Sept. 6-7.

The event will include carnival rides, live music, Texas line dancing, raffle contests and other games. Admission and parking are free

Sept. 7

Grim's Orchard will open its Fall Festival and corn maze this weekend, according to its website. The orchard is located at 9875 Schantz Road in Breinigsville.

The festival runs only on weekends through Nov. 3, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets are sold until the last admission at 5:30 p.m.

Guests age 3 and up require an admission ticket. Prices range from $11 to $31.99. Add-ons for specific activities are also available for any activity package.

Some activities include pick-your-own-pumpkins, pick-your-own-apples, hay ride tours, apple cannons, and, of course, its eight-acre corn maze. Typical fall fare — like apple cider donuts, dumplings and slushees — is also available for purchase at the orchard.

Raub's Farm Market offers three mazes for different ages — a Farm Scene Investigation (F.S.I), a Farm Scene Tracks mystery, and Farm Scene Monster Mystery.

The farm market also offers hayrides and a selection of pumpkins, gourds, corn stalks, Indian corn, straw bales and mums. Concessions are also available.

Admission costs $10 for 13 and up and $8 for both 12 and under and 60 and above.

Unangst Tree Farm in East Allen Township will open fall activities to the public a week after its farm market opens. The farm's fall schedule runs through Oct. 31 and is open Monday through Friday from 12 to 5 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, weather permitting.

This year, the tree farms' website says it's "doing something completely different."

The six-acre corn maze, which costs $9 per person, will revolve around a "farm investigation" into who kidnapped Farmer Joe. The activity, open Saturdays and Sundays, is for ages third grade and above.

Those who correctly solve the mystery will be entered to win gift cards to Amazon, Dunkin and Wawa.

The farm's one-acre Beauty and the Bees-themed corn maze, which the website says is ideal for second-graders and younger, costs $3.50 per person. This maze is open daily.

Hayrides to the pumpkin patch and corn mazes only run on weekends and are free. The farm website describes the walk to the pumpkin patch as short, and required Monday through Friday since the hayrides are unavailable.

A petting zoo — $1.50 per person — is also open seven days a week, like the farm market.

Valley Fruits and Veggies, 5309 Colony Drive in East Allen Township, also opens its Fall Festival Sept. 28.

Activities will include a pumpkin patch several mazes, pumpkin chunkin', hay rides, a play area, family-friendly events and barrel train rides.

Admission for visitors age 4 and older cost $10 per person. Children 3 and younger get in for free.

Food and pumpkin pricing can be found on the Valley Fruits and Veggies website.
