BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Move over Peeps. There's a new favorite Easter candy in town.

Jelly Beans have claimed the No. 1 spot for America’s favorite Easter candy, according to a news release from Pattern, which works to scale e-commerce businesses.

In past years, Peeps held the title.

“We’re happy to share the Easter basket with Jelly Beans," a spokesperson from Just Born, the parent company of Peeps, said.

The five most in-demand candies, from March 27 to April 10, 2022 were:

  • Jelly Beans, 23%
  • Peeps, 16%
  • Cadbury Mini Eggs, 11%
  • Sour Patch Kids, 9%
  • Skittles, 8%

Pattern's data analysis team found inflation also hit Easter favorites in 2023.

However, it's not all bad news. For those looking to stuff their Easter baskets on a budget, certain candies have decreased in price, when adjusted for inflation, Pattern found.

The organization analyzed consumer demand and pricing data on Amazon in 2022 and 2023.
