Ways to save on fine dining during Bethlehem Restaurant Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Warm up with some delicious — and less expensive — dishes during Winter Restaurant week.

This year, eateries along Main and Broad streets will offer slashed prices during breakfast, lunch and dinnertime.

Restaurant week begins on Sunday, Jan. 28 and runs through Saturday, Feb. 3.

"Downtown Bethlehem restaurants infuse vibrancy into the Historic District, and what better way to savor their delectable offerings than during Winter Restaurant Week. It's the ultimate chance to explore new culinary delights or savor innovative dishes from your favorite spots," Ty Versocki, Assistant Manager of the Downtown Bethlehem Association, said.

"With 17 participating restaurants this year, there's an adventure awaiting every palate."

Apollo Grill

Prix fixe menu includes lunch ($21.24 per person) and dinner options ($35.24 per person) with a choice of one appetizer, meal and dessert.

Lunch starters: Apollo Caesar salad, soup du jour (baked French onion or crab and asparagus bisque).

Second course: Fish and chips, pulled pork sandwich, chipotle chicken tacos or roasted mushroom flatbread.

Dinner starters: Caesar salad, soup de jour (baked French onion, crab and asparagus bisque, friend Brussel sprouts, BLT ranch deviled eggs or curry mussels.

Main dishes: pan seared salmon, grilled pork mignon, chicken marsala, braised short rib, farfalle pasta or roasted root veggie chili.

Desserts for lunch and dinner: cranberry rice pudding, lemon blackberry tart, triple chocolate cake.

Menu: Dinner for $48.95 per person includes a four-course fondue-inspired appetizer (spinach artichoke, Wisconsin cheddar or salad) and choice of steak, shrimp and duck or wild mushroom and potato pierogi.

Dessert menu features choice of chocolate fondues.

Complimentary cooking styles include court bouillon, coq au vin or cast iron skillet.
