UPPER SAUCON TWP., Pa. — This weekend, you can cruise on over to DeSales University for a classic car display, Winnie the Pooh stories and sonnets by Shakespeare.
The Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival's Community Day will offer fun for all ages on Saturday, July 6.
The performing arts showcase, now in its second year, is free to attend, though some performances require you to buy tickets.
The festival will start at 8 a.m. Saturday with a classic car cruise-in.
Hundreds of antique vehicles and hot rods are expected to pull up from 8 a.m. to noon at the Trexler parking lot.
Inside the Schubert Theatre, "Winnie the Pooh and Friends"will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tickets are $18.50 for adults and $14.50 for children.
"The Sonnet Man," a performance that sets Shakespeare to hip-hop music, will start at 2 p.m. Tickets start at $30.
On the Main Stage Theatre will be a performance of "The Merry Wives of Windsor" at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $25.
'Color Purple,' Pennsylvania Youth Theatre
On the Green, you can take a step back in time with a 45-minute Renaissance music concert at 1 p.m., followed by a performance by students from Pennsylvania Youth Theatre.
Also on the Green, in front of the Labuda Center for the Performing Arts, the Emerging Artist Showcase will feature music and dance from local artists, and the cast from"The Color Purple"will offer a sneak peek of the musical.
On the Mall, you can meet ponies at 10 a.m., followed by a presentation by the Wildlands Conservancy at 11 a.m.
Local magician Joseph Keppel and his tricks will take the stage at noon, along with a group of alpacas, who will greet attendees, also at noon.
"Play On!" a tour of comedy errors, will start at 1 p.m. There also will be a book and puppet story hour at 3 p.m.
Food vendors, community engagement
Food and beverage trucks scheduled to make a stop include Aroi Mango, Greek Street, the Burger Shack, Mediterranean King, Solsbury Hill Scoop Shoppe and Bakers, and Coopersburg Sage Alley Brewery.
Additionally, staff from organizations and vendors will have tents to offer educational demos, swag bags and other family-themed activities.

Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival will run through Aug. 4.
