BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Power has been restored at Bethlehem's Liberty High School, according to Bethlehem Area School District (BASD).
Classes will resume for Wednesday, a BASD tweet says. The update was issued at 4:25 p.m Tuesday.
Earlier Tuesday, Liberty High School was closed, district Superintendent Jack Silva announced on social media.
Silva posted an announcement on X, formerly known as Twitter, that a power failure was to blame.
He said that no classes would be held Tuesday, with offices working remotely.
Silva did not say what caused the power failure at the school, which sits at the intersection of Linden Street and East Elizabeth Avenue.
No other power outages were reported in the area.
