A township police officer came upon the wreckage while on patrol shortly after 2 a.m., police said.
The driver, a 31-year-old man from Easton whose name wasn’t released, was hospitalized, according to police.
Both victims were trapped in the wreckage and had to be removed, police said.
Police said the Nissan Altima was eastbound on William Penn Highway when it crossed the opposing lane and hit two trees off the north side of the road.
