BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Come spring, first-floor space in a building on Bethlehem Golf Club property will be available for a long-term lease agreement.
The city owns the municipal golf course at 400 Illick’s Mill Road, where a building next to club parking will have “significant” space opening next year, according to a city request for proposals issued in October.
“The City is seeking a trusted partner that will provide synergies with the Golf Club and the existing tenants located on the Golf Club property — the Clubhouse Grille and Art of Flight Golf,” the RFP states.
A schematic from the city shows the building having:
- A 40-by-28-foot main room
- Meeting rooms of 30 by 19 feet and 22 by 19 feet
- Offices of 15 by 8 feet and 11 by 10 feet
- 20-by-10-foot women’s locker room and 11-by-9-foot bathroom
- 12-by-12-foot men’s bathroom and 14-by-12-foot locker room
- 16-by-9-foot storage room, as well as a boiler room and mechanical room
Seeking 'high-quality business'
Any lessee is requested to provide a “high-quality business” with full-time, on-site operations and maintenance of the property during the lease, and would establish working hours with the city.
The city asks interested parties to tour the site at least once before submitting a proposal. Site visits can be scheduled by emailing golf club General Manager Paul Viola at pviola@bethlehem-pa.gov.
Proposals are due by 4:30 p.m. Dec. 20, requested to be sent through email to ssteidel@bethlehem-pa.gov.Bethlehem Golf Course request for proposals
