ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Sheetz convenience stores have announced a price cut on its 88-octane gasoline for the rest of August.
Effective immediately, Sheetz will offer its Unleaded 88 gas for $2.99 per gallon until Aug. 31.
To make sure Unleaded 88 is accessible in customers’ local stations, Sheetz said in a statement that “customers can check if their local Sheetz sells this fuel grade through the Sheetz mobile app or website."
Here are the Lehigh Valley locations:
- 2901 Lehigh St., Allentown
- 3201 Schoenersville Road, Bethlehem
- 3501 Nazareth Road, Easton
- 100 Trolley Line Drive, Easton
- 951 Trexlertown Road, Upper Macungie Township
- 5001 MacArthur Road, Whitehall Township
The 88-octane gasoline is a blend comprised of 85% gasoline and 15% ethanol, a formulation that is not only cost-effective but also eco-friendly compared with the 87-octane gasoline, which has 10% ethanol.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency gives its approval for the use of Unleaded 88 in vehicles, including cars, trucks and SUVs, manufactured from the year 2001 onward.
This move comes on the heels of a successful Fourth of July special this summer when customers from across Pennsylvania flocked to Sheetz locations to fill up their tanks at a price of just $1.776 per gallon.
New Lehigh Valley location
This month, Sheetz opened a new store at 2901 Lehigh St., Allentown.
The new store also brought job openings to the area. As of today, Aug. 26, there were two positions open for the Allentown location: a multi-store supervisor and a store team member for the night shift. The job portal can be accessed here.
“Allentown is a great community and our offerings continue to resonate with its residents,” Sheetz Public Relations Manager Nick Ruffner said in an email.
“We look forward to expanding our offerings to more Allentown residents and serving these folks in the near future.”
