ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Postcards are popping up in Allentown mailboxes for a public meeting about the redevelopment plan for the site of Allentown State Hospital.

It was a controversial move that raised flags. Opponents argued the sale should have happened through a competitive bid.

Center City Investment Corp. announced that it plans to bring a mix of housing units to that site, in a project now known as Northridge.

The postcards describe Northridge as a "new master-planned community," which is expected to include a mix of housing units plus possible retail and green space.
