SOUTH WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. — Daniels BMW and MINI of Allentown have been sold.
With the acquisition, Sloan Automotive Group will now own nine dealerships in the "greater Philadelphia area." The two Allentown locations are its first roots in the Lehigh Valley.
The Tim Lamb Group brokered the deal and shared a news release Thursday announcing the sale of the stores — both at 4600 Crackersport Road. The deal closed on Dec. 9.
“I’ve known Gary [Daniels] for over 20 years and am thrilled to be able to help with the sale of his dealership. Gary, John, and I started discussions about their retirement and the sale of the dealership about three years ago. Together we worked out a plan and found a great new buyer to take over.”Blair Sharpe, director at the Tim Lamb Group
The release says brothers Gary and John Daniels, who co-owned Daniels BMW and MINI, decided to retire and sell after more than 50 years of business.
“I’ve known Gary for over 20 years and am thrilled to be able to help with the sale of his dealership," said Blair Sharpe, director at the Tim Lamb Group.

It was founded by Robert Sloane in 1970 with Sloane Chevrolet in Northeast Philadelphia and Sloane Toyota in Glenside.
Its other dealership locations are Sloane Honda of Philadelphia, Sloane Toyota of Philadelphia, Sloane Toyota of Malvern, Sloane Toyota of Glenside, BMW of Devon, Audi Warrington and Porsche Warrington.
'Customer satisfaction'
The Daniels family's businesses began as a Cadillac franchise dealership in 1962 and over a decade, the BMW franchise was awarded to the family.
The business further grew to include a certified collision center and gained the MINI franchise in 2010.
