EASTON, Pa. — An 18-year-old North Whitehall Township man pleaded not guilty Thursday to charges of homicide and theft in the 2023 death of a North Catasauqua teen and her mother.
John Bradley, 18, was charged in September with stabbing and strangling to death 16-year-old Rianna Glass — Bradley’s ex-girlfriend, according to investigators — and fatally stabbing her mother, Rosalyn Glass, 39, in their North Catasauqua home.
Bradley also is charged with stealing Rosalyn Glass’s car as he fled the scene.
Appearing before Judge John Morganelli in a red prison jumpsuit, a quiet Bradley spoke only through his attorney, Northampton County Public Defender Molly Heidorn.
The proceeding lasted about 15 minutes.
As with Bradley’s previous court appearances, more than two dozen friends and family members of the victims were present in the courtroom for Thursday’s formal arraignment. Most recently, he appeared at a proceeding in November and waived his right to a preliminary hearing.
The case against him is currently on track to go to trial before Judge Morganelli in late October.
If convicted, Bradley faces a sentence of up to life in prison. Because he was 17 when police say the killings occurred, he is not eligible for the death penalty.
