ALLENTOWN, Pa. — State Rep. Milou Mackenzie won re-election to a third term representing the 131st House District, according to incomplete and unofficial results Tuesday.
Republican Mackenzie defeated newcomer Meriam Sabih, who had campaigned on prioritizing education and advocating for Pennsylvanians and their families.

With 90 percent of precincts reporting, Mackenzie had more than 22,000 votes, or 58.3%, to Sabih's 15,816 votes, or 41.7%, according to unofficial returns.
The Associated Press called the race for Mackenzie shortly before 3 a.m. Wednesday.
The 131st District is made up of parts of Lehigh, Northampton and Montgomery counties.
Milou Mackenzie is the mother of state Rep. Ryan Mackenzie, who declared victory in his race for Congress against incumbent U.S. Rep. Susan Wild, D-Lehigh Valley.
