MOORE TWP., Pa. — State Rep. Ann Flood won a third term Tuesday representing northern Northampton County in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
The Associated Press called the race shortly after 11 p.m., as unofficial results showed Flood with roughly two-thirds of the votes cast.
Flood, first elected to represent the 138th House District in 2020, faced Democratic challenger Jared Bitting, who was seeking office for the first time.
The district covers most of Northampton County’s northern tier, including the Slate Belt.
Flood chiefly campaigned on national issues, including immigration and the cost of living.
Much of her sponsored legislation over the past year modified state voting laws in the wake of Northampton County’s voting machine trouble in 2023.
