Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz is set to make another visit to the Lehigh Valley this week, a month after his last campaign stop at Freedom High School in Bethlehem.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz is taking to the Lehigh Valley yet again in the run-up to the Nov. 5 election.

Last month, the Democratic vice presidential candidate held a rally at Freedom High School.

This Friday afternoon, he'll make a political stop in the Allentown area after landing at Lehigh Valley International Airport, according to an advisory from the Harris-Walz campaign.

It's one of several stops Walz will make in Pennsylvania on Friday. Earlier in the day he'll be in Philadelphia and afterward he'll go to Scranton, according to the campaign.

Walz is set to touch down at LVIA about 2:30 p.m. No further details about the visit, including the specific location, were immediately available Tuesday.

With Election Day less than two weeks away, officials are increasingly visiting battleground states like Pennsylvania. Minnesota first lady Gwen Walz made a campaign stop in Easton just last week.

Former President Donald Trump was also in eastern Pennsylvania, making a campaign stop at a Bucks County McDonald's on Sunday.

Christopher Borick, director of the Muhlenberg College Institute of Public Opinion, referred to the increased public appearances from political figures as an adaptation to evolving communication methods in this week's segment of Political Pulse.

"It's all about political communications and reaching your audiences, finding your audience where they're at, delivering messages in those venues that resonate with those audiences," Borick said.
