ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Kamala Harris running mate Tim Walz will attend a campaign rally this Saturday in the Lehigh Valley, according to a campaign advisory.
Details of the visit by the Minnesota governor and No. 2 on the Democratic presidential ticket weren't immediately disclosed, but he's expected to deliver remarks in the Allentown area before noon, according to the advisory.
Walz previously visited Lancaster, Erie and Pittsburgh, marking what the Harris-Walz campaign calls "one of the most aggressive presidential campaigns in Pennsylvania in recent history."
The campaign says it is "reaching every corner of the Commonwealth including regions like Lehigh Valley that are critical to winning the state, underscoring Team Harris-Walz’s commitment to making inroads in rural and traditionally more conservative regions."
Walz's Allentown visit comes after Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff visited the city earlier this month.
"We need to win this state, and we need to win right here in your community. So, you all, right here, have an actual say in who could be the next president of the United States," Emhoff said during an Allentown rally on Sept. 7.
The location for Saturday's Walz appearance wasn't immediately available.
For both Democrat Harris and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, Pennsylvania is critical to their chances of winning the presidency.
The most populous presidential swing state has sided with the winner of the past two elections, each time by just tens of thousands of votes. Polling this year suggests Pennsylvania will be close once more in November.
