ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Former U.S. President Donald Trump will rally supporters at the PPL Center on Tuesday as the 2024 presidential race enters the final stretch.

Trump posted the 6 p.m. event on his campaign website Thursday afternoon. The free, first-come, first-served tickets are limited to two per registration.

The presidential candidates and their proxies have been blanketing Pennsylvania for months as they compete for the swing state.

Polling shows Trump and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris essentially tied in the Keystone State. The winner will earn its 19 electoral votes, a major haul that could determine who takes the oath of office next year.

The Lehigh Valley has proven to be a bellwether for Pennsylvania as a whole, which has attracted political VIPs.

The Lehigh Valley has proven to be a bellwether for Pennsylvania as a whole, which has attracted political VIPs.

Trump last visited the region in April when he addressed more than 6,000 supporters outside the Schnecksville Fire Hall.

There, Trump repeated false claims that he had won the 2020 presidential election and attacked his then-opponent President Joe Biden.

The April rally came immediately before he was tried and convicted of making hush money payments in 2016 to cover up a sex scandal.

Since then, Trump has been targeted in two separate assassination attempts, including one at an outdoor rally in Butler County.

PPL Center should offer a more secure setting for Trump to energize thousands of backers the week before Election Day.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, the Democratic nominee for vice president, is scheduled to make his second trip to the Lehigh Valley Friday; he last visited Freedom High School in September.

Harris and U.S. Sen. J.D. Vance, Trump's running mate, have yet to visit the region.
