BETHLEHEM, Pa. — An advocacy group for early childhood education has organized a forum for state House candidates.
It will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Univest Public Media Center in Bethlehem. (You can watch a livestream here).
Children First PA, in partnership with the Pennsylvania Association for the Education of Young Children, invited state House candidates in Northampton County.
Child care providers and parents will pose questions during the forum. The conversation will be moderated by Brittany Sweeney, a reporter for LehighValleyNews.com, PBS39 and 91.3 WLVR.
Candidates who have confirmed attendance are:
- Anna Thomas, a Democrat running in the 137th House District against incumbent state Rep. Joe Emrick;
- Jared Bitting, a Democrat running in the 138th House District against incumbent state Rep. Ann Flood;
- Joseph Lenzi, a Democrat running in the 183rd House District against incumbent state Rep. Zach Mako.
- Ann Flood responded with a statement that will be included in the program but she was unable to attend because of other commitments, organizers said.
