BETHLEHEM, Pa. — April is a busy month for environmentalists.
It’s recognized across the U.S. as Earth Month.
There are individual days of acknowledgement, too: April 22 is Earth Day, April 25 is Arbor Day and April 26 is Celebrate Trails Day.
While Earth Day is not federally recognized, residents across the country each year have acknowledged it by demonstrating for more environmental protections, cleaning up their communities or learning more about the planet they call home through educational initiatives.
Here are events and activities across the Lehigh Valley aimed at environmental conservation and education:
Friday, April 18
- Art in Dialogue: Artist talk with Nick Brandt, environmental photographer, 6 p.m.

Saturday, April 19
- Keep Slatington Beautiful clean-up, 9 a.m. to noon,
