Earth Day, Earth Month: Find upcoming clean-ups, events in the Lehigh Valley

There are several events this month acknowledging Earth Day and Earth Month throughout the Lehigh Valley, including clean-ups.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — April is a busy month for environmentalists.

It’s recognized across the U.S. as Earth Month.

There are individual days of acknowledgement, too: April 22 is Earth Day, April 25 is Arbor Day and April 26 is Celebrate Trails Day.

While Earth Day is not federally recognized, residents across the country each year have acknowledged it by demonstrating for more environmental protections, cleaning up their communities or learning more about the planet they call home through educational initiatives.
