Lehigh and Northampton counties are under a flood watch until Sunday, Aug. 4 at midnight.

BETHLEHEM, Pa.— Not so 'Fest.

Ahead of potentially heavy storms moving through the area this afternoon, The National Weather Service issued a Flood Watch for Lehigh and Northampton counties at 12:20 p.m. EST. It will be in effect through Sunday at midnight.

As of 1:25 p.m., both counties are also under a severe thunderstorm watch until 9:00 p.m.

According to NWS' website, the detailed forecast for the area this afternoon includes a 60% chance of precipitation with rainfall totals expected to accumulate over a quarter of an inch.

"You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued." said the NWS release.

As of now, Musikfest has made no changes to its scheduled programming tonight, which includes a headliner performance from rock band Shinedown.

With a severe thunderstorm moving through the area around 3:30 p.m. yesterday, conditions didnot quite align with the start of Musikfest. As a result, ArtsQuest decided to postpone its opening ceremony and correlate it with its closing ceremony instead, which will take place on August 11 at 11:30 a.m.
