BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The Lehigh Valley is expected to see more snow showers Tuesday night, but this time, more impactful than those the night before.
The National Weather Service issued a special weather statement at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday warning of "brief moderate to heavy snow showers" that will impact Northeast Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
The showers are expected after 4 p.m.

"Brief moderate-to-heavy snow showers will rapidly reduce visibility to around one-half mile or less at times," the statement says, and advises advising drivers to use extra caution.
On Monday night, some areas saw a "coating of snow... to a half inch in a few spots," EPAWA meteorologist Bobby Martrich said in his Tuesday Dec. 3 video forecast.
"That will happen again today."

Showers could create a coating of snow on roads and lead to "localized hazardous travel conditions."
A forecast discussion for Wednesday through Thursday from the weather service says "a strong storm system" will impact the region.
Strong winds expected
"This is not going to be a heavy snow event, but there will be some snow in association with this," Martrich said in his latest forecast.
The weather service also forecasts snow showers Wednesday night and Thursday before 1 p.m., with "new snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible," both days.
"Areas along and north of the I-78 corridor will likely see mostly snow with this activity, with a rain/snow mix farther south and mainly rain near the coast," the forecast discussion says.
"Any snowfall accumulation outside of the Poconos and higher elevations of northwest New Jersey will remain less than 1"."
Thursday also will bring in a breeze of west wind around 15 to 25 mph and gusts as high as 45 mph.
Shortly after 3 p.m. on Tuesday, the NWS also issued a wind advisory from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday warning of west winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 to 50 mph expected.
The gusts could blow unsecured objects, tree limbs, and result in some power outages.
"Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles," the advisory says. "Use extra caution."
