Watching the skies with Brad Klein

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Brad Klein reviews the week’s astronomical highlights with Bethlehem’s ‘Backyard Astronomy Guy,’ Marty McGuire.

This week: a preview of Marty’s presentation, Saturday, July 6, at 2 p.m. at the main branch of the Bethlehem Public Library.

The subject will be Mars, and McGuire says that he’ll focus on two NASA rovers that remain in operation on the surface of the Red Planet. The older of the two is named Curiosity. And Perseverance is the more recent mission, launched in 2020.

They are bigger than you might think. “About the size of an SUV,” according to McGuire.
