BETHLEHEM, Pa. — No, those weren’t UFOs spotted over the Lehigh Valley on Thursday night.

But if you looked skyward, you may have witnessed bright strings of lights streaming through the clouds.

Starlink internet satellites orbiting Earth were visible to skywatchers in the area and were captured in photos and videos by area residents.

Olivia Salsberry said she and her wife "were dropping our boys off at their father's and I looked up and saw them. I was like, 'What the heck is that?'"

Salsberry said the satellites were visible for "give or take, three or four minutes."

"We were standing there watching them until they disappeared," she said.

The satellites may have been connected to the latest SpaceX launch that took place early Thursday morning.

The American spacecraft manufacturer launched a batch of 56 Starlink satellites, according to Space.com.

The Falcon 9 rocket carrying the Starlink spacecraft lifted off from Florida’s Cape Canaveral Space Force Station at 3:31 a.m. EDT Thursday.

It was the 29th orbital mission of the year for SpaceX and the 27th for Falcon 9, Space.com reported, and the 56 new satellites join more than 4,300 other Starlink spacecraft to date.

The bright strings of lights were visible across the country, and many people took to social media to report spotting them moving through orbit.

In the Lehigh Valley, that window seemed to open and close just before 9:30 p.m., depending on weather conditions.

"They disappeared into the clouds around 9:27 p.m., Salsberry said. "Then we never saw them again."
