BETHLEHEM TWP., Pa. - Owen Brewer didn’t waste any time getting on with 2025.
The newborn baby was delivered at midnight, before the new year was even a minute old early Wednesday, according to St. Luke’s University Health Network.
Parents Nadia and Ethan Brewer, of Kunkletown, were in good shape Wednesday – as was their new arrival.
Born at St. Luke’s Anderson Campus, Owen Eugene Brewer checked in at 6 pounds, 3 ounces and measured 18 inches long, according to the health network.
His due date was Jan. 9, but when Nadia's water broke at home Tuesday night, the couple knew it was time to scrap their New Year's Eve plans and head to the hospital.

Owen is the first child for the Brewers, who were married in 2021 and have been together for more than 15 years. Nadia is from the Lehighton area and Ethan from Saylorsburg.
They've lived in Kunkletown for about five years, they said. Their 40-minute drive to St. Luke's came as heavy rain and a strong thunderstorm rumbled through the area.
Owen was delivered by an unplanned C-section because his positioning was breech, the parents said. By the time he was ready to enter the world, the couple weren't focused on New Year's Eve.
"If there was a TV (in the room) I didn’t see it," Ethan said. "He was delivered at the stroke of midnight."
"The timing was almost perfect," Nadia said.

Lehigh Valley Health Network's first baby of 2025 was born at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg in Bethlehem at 12:05 a.m., hospital officials said.
Nola Monica Smith is the second daughter of parents Christopher and Kloe Smith, of White Haven in Luzerne County.
Little Nola weighed 6 pounds, 11.4 ounces and measured 20 inches long.
