FOUNTAIN HILL, Pa. — St. Luke’s University Health Network and Grand View Health signed off on an agreement for partnership Friday, according to a release.
The move strengthens "the two organizations’ shared commitment to delivering the highest quality care to patients,” the release said.
It said the two networks confirmed their respective boards unanimously approved the decision for Grand View to become part of St. Luke's University Health Network.
The partnership is expected to be completed in mid- to late 2025, pending customary federal and state regulatory review and completion of closing conditions.
The union highlights yet another change in the field of health care in the Lehigh Valley.
Lehigh Valley Health Network completed a deal to be acquired by Philadelphia-based health care system Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals on Aug. 1, 2024.
The announcement of St. Luke’s and Grand View’s union comes just off the heels of an advertising campaign proclaiming, “St. Luke’s is the Lehigh Valley’s ONLY locally based, independent health care network, proudly serving our community for over 150 years.”
'Welcome this opportunity'
Grand View and St. Luke’s announced they had signed a non-binding Letter of Intent to partner in September 2024.
