LOWER MACUNGIE TWP., Pa. — A man in Lower Macungie Township is in custody Monday after barricading himself in a house inside the Fairways development for several hours.

About 10:15 a.m., Lehigh County sheriffs tried to serve a domestic relations warrant to a 54-year-old man residing in the 2500 block of Waynesborough Court, according to a State Police news release.
Threats by the man caused sheriffs to leave the residence and sheriff's deputies and officers from PSP at Fogelsville established a perimeter at the scene.
Troopers from the Special Emergency Response Team took charge of the scene and negotiated a surrender from the barricaded man about 2:35 p.m.
He was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest for evaluation.
Residents in that area had been asked to shelter in place.
Sauerkraut Lane was closed at Milhouse Road, and Saddle Brook Road between Milhouse Road and Saddle Brook Road was closed for about four hours.
Police announced at 2:49 p.m. the incident was clear and roads were reopening.
