1. Apparently Hurricane Nicole has invited herself to our Friday afternoon. The National Weather Service at Mt. Holly, NJ, says there is a 100% chance rain, possibly thunderstorms, after 11 a.m. Wind could gust up to 25 mph and we could see between a half and three quarters of an inch of rain during the day. Then, for Friday night, we could see another half inch of rain and wind up to 35 mph. Expect a high temperature of 68 degrees during the day and a low of 63 degrees at night.
The chance of rain drops for Saturday and a high of 63 degrees. Sunday should be sunny, they say, with a high temp of 47 degrees.
2. The former fire chief at the Eastern Salisbury Fire Company has been charged with embezzling funds from the company.
3. Seems like USA Today is crushing hard on Bethlehem. And really, what's not to love, right? To that end, the city's Christkindlmarkt is topping the leadership board for USA Today’s 10Best Outdoor Holiday Markets. that's right, there's no space between the "10" and the "Best." Additionally, Historic Hotel Bethlehem was also voted Best Historic Hotel by USA Today this year.
4. Little Lehigh Redevelopment, part of the Allentown Housing Authority, broke ground Thursday on the first phase of an affordable housing development to be constructed at the corner of Sixth Street and Martin Luther King Blvd. The first 50 units are expected to be complete next year.
