Recreating iconic music
The Rhode Island-based Badfish for 22 years has performed the music of Sublime, the groundbreaking ska punk band known for its 1996 No. 1 Alt Rock hit “What I Got” and the 1997 follow up Alt Rock hits “Santaria” and “Wrong Way,” both of which hit No. 3 on the Alt Rock chart.
Badfish is named after a song that appears on Sublime’s 1992 debut album, “40oz to Freedom,” which sold double platinum.

Sublime's sophomore album, 1994’s “Robbin’ the Hood,” went gold, and its third and final disc, 1996’s “Sublime,” with all of its hits, sold five times platinum.
Singer/lead guitarist Bradley Nowell died in 1996 and Sublime disbanded, but surviving members Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh reformed with singer Rome Ramirez as Sublime With Rome in 2009.
Sublime with Rome performed a nearly sold-out headline show at ArtsQuest’s Musikfest festival in Bethlehem in 2010, and returned to the festival in 2012. That band continues to perform.
Badfish: A Tribute to Sublime will be the second paid-concert ticket at Levitt Pavilion SteelStacks this season. Previously announced was 1990s alternative rock band Live on June 1. Tickets for that show are still available.
