ALLENTOWN, Pa. — A country music singer who in the past decade went from New Artist of the Year to having nearly a dozen platinum singles will play Allentown's PPL Center.

Jon Pardi, whose songs "Head Over Boots" in 2015 and "Dirt on My Boots" in 2016 both hit No. 1 and each sold six times platinum, will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 7, the venue says on its website.

Tickets, the prices of which were not announced, go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, on the PPL Center website and at the box office at 701 Hamilton St., Allentown.

Supporting acts for the show include Corey Kent, known for his 2022 double-platinum hit "Wild As Her," and last year's gold "Something's Gonna Kill Me."

Also supporting will be Kassi Ashton, who released her debut album, "Made From the Dirt," in September and had the Top 40 hit "Called Crazy" last spring.

Tickets, the prices of which were not announced, go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, on the website and at the box office at 701 Hamilton St., Allentown.

A portion of ticket sale proceeds from the tour benefit the newly established Starlight Fund.

Founded with his wife, Summer, the Starlight Fund supports organizations dedicated to providing opportunities and resources specific to young people in need that are pursuing a path in the trades, agriculture and construction.

A quick rise

Pardi's 2014 debut album "Write You a Song" produced the platinum hit "Up All Night" and the gold hits "What I Can't Put Down" and "Up All Night."

But it was his sophomore disc, 2016's "California Sunrise," that made him a superstar.

His latest singles were last year's "Cowboys and Plowboys" with Luke Bryan and the recent "Friday Night Heartbreaker," both of which are from an unnamed album to be released in 2025.

The disc hit No. 1 on the Country Albums chart and sold platinum with four multi-platinum hits: "Head Over Boots" and "Dirt on My Boots," the quadruple-platinum "Heartache on the Dance Floor" and triple-platinum "Night Shift."

The following year, Pardi won the Country Music Association Awards New Artist of the Year and the Academy of Country Music's New Male Vocalist of the Year.

He since has been nominated for five more CMA awards and three more Academy of Country Music Awards — all for Album of the Year, for 2018's "California Sunrise," 2020's "Heartache Medication" and last year's "Mr. Saturday Night."

"Heartache Medication" sold gold and peaked at No. 2 on the Country Albums chart, while producing two double-platinum hits, the title track and "Ain't Always the Cowboy."

"Mr. Saturday Night" peaked at No. 5 and included the platinum hits "Lat Night Lonely," which peaked at No. 1, and "Your Heart or Mine."

His latest singles were last year's "Cowboys and Plowboys" with Luke Bryan and the recent "Friday Night Heartbreaker," both of which are from an unnamed album to be released in 2025.
