Santa Rosa has sold more than over 3 million records in the United States and Puerto Rico.

He has released 29 albums since his debut disc, "Good Vibrations," in 1986.

His most recent was "Debut y Segunda Tanda" in 2022.

He also was awarded the 2021 Latin Grammy Lifetime Culture Achievement Award.

Billboard Magazine chose him Tropical Artist of the Decade in 2010. In 2016, he received a Star on Puerto Rico’s Walk of Fame and the Lifetime Achievement Premio Soberano a la Trayectoría.

In the middle of 2017 and 2018, he performed in Cuba for the first time and shared his tour “40...y contando” on HBO Latino.

In 2012, he was the first ever musician to receive the Lifetime Culture Achievement Award from the United Nations, an honor that had only been given to heads of state and politicians who performed significant contributions for world development.

The international jury that awarded him recognized his success in promoting cultural development, including his performance as a spokesman for social campaigns such as the National Association for Diabetes and domestic violence awareness initiatives.

Final Musikfest headliner

The show is the last of 11 headliners to be announced for Musikfest's 2025 lineup.

For its 42nd year, Musikfest will run Aug. 1–10, with a preview night on July 31.

The new announcement adds another genre to a lineup that, despite having the most country music headliners ever for Musikfest, now offers Americana, rock, rap and more.

Four of the headliners will be country music — the most the festival has ever had in a single year.

Previous headliners announced were Megan Moroney on preview night, July 31, platinum-selling country singer Riley Green on Aug. 1, and Americana rockers The Avett Brothers on Aug. 2.

Also, top country singer Darius Rucker on Aug. 3, rockers The Black Crows of Aug. 4, best-selling horn-rock favorites Chicago on Aug. 5, and rapper Nelly on Aug. 6.

Also, 1990s hitmakers Third Eye Blind on Aug 8, multi-platinum country singer Jordan Davis on Aug. 9 and chart-topping rock duo The Black Keys on closing night.

Tickets for all previously announced shows remain available.
