BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Join Megan Frank every Friday at 9:30 am and 6:30 pm for Insights with LehighValleyNews.com on WLVR.
Each week she’s joined by reporters to talk about the stories they’ve been following. These journalists are experts in their beats and offer you a greater understanding of the stories they’re working on.
This week, Brittany Sweeney fills in for Megan.
More Lehigh Valley farms have been added to Pennsylvania's Farmland Preservation Program — it's a $10 million statewide effort to preserve open spaces.
Land preservation has been a hot topic with warehouses recently reshaping the local landscape, with state Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding saying in a news release that saving farmland from "warehouses and sprawl is an investment we can’t afford not to make."
Environment and science reporter Molly Bilinski has been keeping up with the topic and tells us more about the preservation project.
In case you missed it, the past few weeks have put a local singer in the spotlight. Shye Roberts, a recent Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts graduate placed second on NBC's "The Voice," last week.
Arts and culture reporter Micaela Hood followed the story since Roberts' television debut in October up until her season 26 finale.
What's it like performing in front of celebrities, working alongside Michael Bublé and taking a national spotlight? Roberts opened up to Micaela about the experience, which she talks to Brittany about this week on Insights.
