BETHLEHEM, Pa. — If you’re the kind of fan of brother-trio indie-pop band AJR seeking more of an experience than just seeing the guys in concert at Musikfest on Aug. 3, the Bethlehem festival has an event for you.
Musikfest is offering a Pre-AJR Crafting Social before the big show. It's the festival’s only sold-out headliner so far.
- Musikfest is offering a pre-concert crafting social before the show by indie-pop trio AJR
- Tickets include a pair of sunglasses and key ring, plus beads, glue and string to customize your creations
- Tickets, at $19 or $24 the week before the show, are available on the Musikfest website.
For a ticket costing $19, or $24 the week of the show, you can “Join us for some fun beading projects before bopping over to the AJR concert at the Wind Creek Steel Stage,” Musikfest says on its website.
Tickets are available on the Musikfest website.
Tickets to the AJR concert aren't required to participate.
The event will be at the Wind Creek Back Back Stage, a tented area at the main SteelStacks stage on the SteelStacks campus.
"We'll be making friendship bracelets, keychains and more, come craft with us!”Musikfest announcement of pre-AJR concert craft social
A ticket to the crafting social includes one pair of sunglasses and a key ring, “plus access to beads, glue and string to customize your creations. We'll be making friendship bracelets, keychains and more, come craft with us!”
The announcement on the Musikfest site shows crafted sunglasses with beads spelling out “We skip to the good part” — a line from AJR’s song “The Good Part” — a keychain with beads that say, “Way Less Sad” — the title of its 2021 platinum single — and a bead bracelet that spells out “Musikfest.”
The event also will have a cash bar with drinks and packaged snacks to buy.
The social will start at 5 p.m. Aug. 3 – an hour before gates open for the show at 6 p.m. at Musikfest’s main Steel Stage.
AJR, a brother trio known for its hits "Burn Down the House" and "Bang!" has risen quickly since its debut single "I'm Ready" sold triple platinum in 2013.
Its most recent album, 2021's "OK Orchestra," also hit No. 1 on the Indie albums chart and No. 10 on the overall albums chart and had sold gold status.
